GUINNESS

The sound of rugby is changing

I was fortunate enough to take part in London’s 2022 Creative Comeback course.

The programme is a Creative Equals event with Diageo, D&AD and partner agencies - Prime Video, Wunderman Thompson, Engine, Fishawack, Shoot the Moon, Pablo, VMLY&R and We Are Social.

The 2 week bootcamp sets the standard for global talent regeneration in London, New York and Mumbai - working with creatives to bring them back into work after career breaks.

Amidst the fast-fire course, there were a few hours over 4 days to work on a Guinness pitch with a partner (we’d never met) over Zoom and present at D&AD to a room full of industry leaders. No pressure!

To cut a short story even shorter, my partner Catherine and I worked at speed to:

‘Put Guinness at the heart of positive societal change in rugby’ and

‘make everyone feel like they belong in the sport they love’

Championing under-represented voices and inclusivity through the social impact programme #NEVER SETTLE

(In a way that only Guinness could and only Guinness would).

To pitch to Diageo for Guinness amongst a cohort of seriously impressive women was an unforgettable experience.

To win was surreal.
